I have over 30 years' experience in animal care and over nine years' experience with dog and cat boarding care. I have also looked after sheep, cattle, horses, rabbits and chickens over the years. I did courses in dog nutrition with one of the UK's leading dry pet food companies. I have a Collie called Jasmine and a cat, Lucy. I also have a hamster called Snowy, and a gerbil, Misty.

I am licensed by Powys Council to have dogs stay on a Home Boarding basis.

Please book with as much notice as possible so not to be disappointed.

Cats are much happier staying in their own home environment. I feed and water, change the litter, give plenty of cuddles, strokes and brush if required. You also have the added security of me keeping an eye on the house whilst you are away. I move the post from the front door, water plants on request, open and close curtains for you. I am also very experienced in looking after rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters.

I have been Contented Pets (Llangattock) since 2010 and have come a long way since then.

Many of my clients have come on personal recommendation from other clients and I am well known in Llangattock /Crickhowell and Llangynidr as the “Dog Lady”. Establishing a reputation such as this is a great way of meeting people and they regularly wave to me as I am out walking, and often chat with me about my work. Dog walking has taken me on some beautiful walks in the local countryside and in all weathers too, having walked every day in every season during the last year. The snow caused havoc and put most places in a winter wonderland with some spectacular views, but as any dog-owner knows, dogs still need to be walked!

I have found that my local dogs that stay, their owners find it hard getting them past my gate if they are out walking as the dogs want to come to visit me! It’s proof that whenever the owners go away they know their dogs’ stay will be a wonderful and fun experience with the best level of care I can give.

I have also had the privilege of getting alongside people and helping them with advice with their pets from feeding, grooming, nail clipping and more.

I have amazing support from Angela who is the owner of Contented Pets and she has helped me at every step, making herself available at any time I needed.

I know that a happy, well exercised, cuddled and fussed dog or well cared for cuddled cat or small animal makes for a happy owner, and that is why we call ourselves “Contented Pets”.

Beulah at Contented Pets is 100% reliable, walking our dog in all weathers and having him to board on occasions. She is totally focused on his welfare and on supporting us in ensuring he is happy (he suffers from back problems). She understands animals and puts every effort into making sure her clients are satisfied. I highly recommend Beulah and Contented Pets.

Our Lottie loves Beulah. She goes wild with excitement as we get out of the car at Beulah's place. Beulah looks after Lottie every week for a day and is always very flexible about what time we drop off and pick up. It suits us perfectly.

Our labrador Harri is extremely well looked after by Beulah of "Contented Pets". He has received walks, doggy day care and been a boarder on several occasions. We have no hesitation in recommending Beulah of Contented Pets because the pets are very content in her experienced care. Her love of animals is evident. They are treated like one of the family. from Helen and Anthony Seys Llewellyn.

Our dog, Jack, loves to go to see Beulah. She walks him on some occasions, has him for daycare on others and stays for longer periods when needed. Our only problem is booking him in soon enough before she is full! We have even been given advice on his health when he started to develop a small bald patch. She advised us to take him to the vets as treatment was required before things got worse. Extra value for money there!
