Fiona Mackay

Having worked as a Nurse in Intensive Care for 20 years, a career which I thoroughly enjoyed, I felt the time was right to pursue a career that embraced my lifelong love of animals, nature and walking. We moved to this beautiful part of Wales in 2017 and soon got to know Angela as a client of Contented Pets. She looked after our two cats, Victor and Horatio, when we went on holiday, and our beautiful, gentle black Labrador, Lucy on occasions too.

I have chosen to work as a franchisee of Contented Pets as I really admire the culture of the company. The welfare of the pets is at the heart of the business, and as an animal lover, this is hugely important to me.

I have always loved animals and grew up surrounded by them. We have had many cats, dogs, rabbits,guinea pigs and hamsters over the years. I have also ridden horses since I was 5 years old and have had the good fortune to share 2 horses over the last 15 years.

I treat every animal as though it was my own, so rest assured they will be happy, safe and loved whilst in my care.

I am really looking forward to meeting lots of new clients, both human and four-legged over the coming years.

I change litter, wash all food bowls and sweep up. Change and clean out cages and replenish any edible toys. Play, cuddle and groom where applicable. Plenty of attention given to all (if they want it). Administer medication where needed.
